Little Miss History Travels to Ford’s Theater
Barbara Ann Mojica has created yet another educational and fun children’s book with her newest release, Little Miss History Travels to Ford’s Theater. This book, the fourth in the series, relates the history of Ford’s Theater from its beginning as a church, subsequent evolution into a theater, sad location of Lincoln’s assassination to its final purpose as a preserved historic site. Fitting the era, the terrific illustrations are presented in vintage sepia, black and white. Bright colors splash the pages to appeal to children. History truly is fun with this series.
The Amazon page does not list an age range for this book. Although the format of the book is similar to picture book, the information presented could appeal to older children, as well. While the story is kept simple enough for them to understand, it is not condescending, and being based on true events in history could help hook young children into a lifelong love of reading.
The Little Miss History series has been awarded the coveted B.R.A.G. Medallion (Book Readers Appreciation Group). The group’s rigorous review process supports indie authors and provides an authentication of books that have not been vetted by agents or publishers. Being presented a B.R.A.G. Medallion is a true honor. Well deserved, Ms. Mojica!
Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts on my newest adventure!
